INSTRUMENTAL RENTAL

Students who choose to participate in instrumental instruction must have an instrument to use for the year. There are several options for this:

  1. ISAAC LOAN-- use of school instruments is FREE, but we have a limited number of each instrument. Therefore, students who qualify for federal free- or reduced-priced meals get first priority for these instruments. After these are distributed, any remaining instruments will be distributed to other students who have signed up to play. Parents/caregivers of all students who get an instrument from ISAAC are required to sign a contract accepting financial responsibility if anything happens to the instrument. We'd like them to be available to students for years to come!
  2. INDIVIDUAL RENTAL-- another option is to rent an instrument from a local music store. Typically, cost of rental goes toward your eventual purchase of the instrument (rent-to-own). However, you are not obligated to pay the full amount of the instrument if you discontinue rental after a certain amount of time. The following stores have rental opportunities:

  3. PURCHASE-- Another option could be to purchase a used instrument. Many students (and myself) have gotten great deals through auctions on ebay! Feel free to consult me first if you'd like to determine if an instrument is worth the price.
