In order to ensure that parents are aware of their children's school work and are informed about issues in the life of the school, conferences will be scheduled so parents can meet with the student and teacher to discuss student progress at school.

In the course of the school year, parent conferences will be held twice, in November and March (see the school calendar). If parents wish for additional time to talk with a teacher, they may request conferences at other times by writing a note to the teacher or by calling the school.

All students will maintain a portfolio containing draft and finished written work, videotapes of presentations, when available, and examples of studio art projects. At the end of the year, students will assemble their portfolios, create a table of contents, and write a cover essay explaining their portfolio's content and reflecting on their learning for the year.
