DRESS CODE

Students are expected to dress in clothing which is clean, in good repair, appropriate to school and non-distracting to other students or the educational process. Tank tops, midriff-showing shirts, revealing shirts, short shorts, mini skirts, muscle shirts, t-shirts which represent alcohol, drugs or inappropriate sexual connotations, and head towels are some examples of unacceptable school attire. Students who do not dress or groom themselves appropriately will be warned and may be sent home to change, or a parent/guardian will be asked to bring a change of clothes to the school.

For safety purposes it is recommended that students wear shoes that are safe and appropriate for walking up and down stairs and for outdoor activities.

No hats or full head coverings (including towels, shirts, d-rags) will be allowed except for religious purposes.

Sweatbands will be allowed in plysical education only.

If any attire is distracting to the learning process or appears unsafe, the Director will use his/her discretion to resolve the situation.
