Our Mission

ISAAC is dedicated to being an experiential learning community where students, families, and teachers are challenged to discover and express the best in themselves and each other while valuing the diversity in our school, our community, and the world.

ISAAC is . . .

  • A public charter school
  • A choice school, founded by parents in 1997
  • A diverse, interdistrict school serving 12 communities in southeastern Connecticut
  • Reducing racial and economic isolation in the region
  • The only Expeditionary Learning school in Connecticut
  • A school that harnesses the natural passion for learning and fosters the importance of community service
  • A hands-on learning environment that challenges each student while addressing individual differences in learning
  • Increasing access to the school for many families on the waiting list
  • Contributing to the revitalization of downtown New London
  • Seeking your help to raise 2 million dollars in the second phase of its capital campaign
