Health Center

ISAAC offers its families access to both traditional school health services and a school based health center from Community Health Centers, Inc.

Traditional School Health Services

The ISAAC nursing team, Hilary Wenzel and Erica McCaffrey, get to know the health profile of every ISAAC student through the forms you fill out, and the health and immunization records provided to us from sending schools. They are a parent's and student's primary contact for everyday office visits, dispensing medications, and oversight of special medical conditions and allergy management. They provide scoliosis screenings for 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys, as well as vision and hearing screenings, as needed, throughout the year.

Cold and Flu Season: Download this comparative guide - Is it a cold or the flu?

Allergy Management Plan: Read our plan to reduce the risk of accidental exposure to life-threatening allergens.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Resources: Information about measles.

The ISAAC school counseling team provide services to students who are struggling with social-emotional issues. If you believe your child would benefit from counseling services, please contact the Head of Student Life, Mr. Christopher Baxter at 860-447-1003.

School Based Health Center Enrollment Form

The School Based Health Center (SBHC) is run through Community Health Center, Inc. They are designed to provide a wide range of age-appropriate health care services. Students can be treated for acute illnesses, such as influenza and strep throat, along with chronic conditions, including asthma and diabetes. They can also be screened for dental, vision and hearing problems. With an emphasis on prevention, early intervention and risk reduction, SBHC personnel counsel students on healthy habits.

Therapeutic Counseling is also available through the SBHC. If you or your child feels that he/she is struggling emotionally and would benefit from counseling, you can choose to receive services through the SBHC.

Services are provided regardless of financial need. Enrollment forms must be completed by the parent/guardian.
