Meet ISAAC's Director of Food Services

Charles Bailow grew up on Martha’s Vineyard.  With access to local fresh fish, his love for food started at a young age.  It wasn’t until he was a teenager working at the Black Dog Tavern that he truly immersed himself in food.  There he learned about the importance of fresh food before the farm to table movement.  He started as a dish washer and worked up to head chef.  He has worked in almost every facet of the kitchen. He left the restaurant world to raise a family.  His love for children and education, mixed with his passion for food, created a perfect recipe for him to transfer to the school system in 2018.  He loves inspiring kids to love food and looks forward to a long career at the ISAAC School.

He has two beautiful children that are his life and lives in Westbrook.
