Summer Program

The Step-Up Summer program is part of ISAAC’s 21st Century Community Learning Grant. It is for any incoming 6th grader that would like to become oriented with the layout of the building, academic offerings, meet teachers and staff, and become acquainted with one another before beginning the school year. Each participating student will receive an ISAAC Dragon drawstring bag with 6th grade school essentials (colored pencils, highlighters, notebook, sticky notes, markers, and pencils). The purpose of the program is to prepare 6th graders for the academic rigors as well as social and emotional needs in transitioning to a new school and the demands of middle school while developing a growth mindset and becoming familiar with our Core Values and Beliefs about Learning.

ISAAC is offering a New Summer Theater Arts Program. In this exciting, inaugural summer program, rising 7th and 8th-grade ISAAC students will sing, dance, and act together to create a musical theater performance. In addition to performing, students will collaborate and take ownership of backstage technical theater roles such as creating props and costumes and running sound and lights. This program also includes a field trip to the nationally acclaimed Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT to see a professional musical. The program will culminate with a showcase of the musical on July 19th.
